i have news!!! my partner proposed!!! ahhhh

this is mighty crazy. i was caught completely off guard and it definitely still hasn’t sunk in yet. i wrote a substack piece about all my deep emotions about it but here i’m just gonna yell at you about how happy i am !! the ring was way too big which was hilarious but also i’m sad i don’t have it on right Now. it’s coming in the post today though hehe. but also i wanted to go to the library since it’s opened up again after it’s refurbishments back in spring. stay home and wait for the ring or go to the library and actually move my body for the first time in six days? it’s been a lazy week! i need to move.

my mum came over a couple days before my birthday and then left, and then i had my closest friends come over on my actual birthday and we had a little craft party, so cute, then they went home and then my boyfriend asked how i would feel about being his wife cry then it was his birthday the next day and we had the most chill day ever after a very social week lol.

ooh! i also bought myself a (used) handheld gaming pc (asus rog ally z1 extreme) for my birthday and it’s so cool. it’s literally a pc on a thing that looks like a switch. i wanted one so i could play my steam games on a handheld because i hate lugging around a laptop or having to sit at a desk to game. i’m not a pc gamer girlie at all. the first one i bought didn’t say it was from a smoker’s household and it absolutely reeked so i had no choice but to send it back. then had to buy another and wait for that but it’s finally here and i love it! the battery is terrible though :( might have to get my fiance to replace it for me as i am definitely not techy enough for that. he has proved himself to me once already by modding my 2ds hehe. i’ve also bought the cutest skin for it (mint green gingham) and the price was not cute but this thing is so niche i wasn’t expecting anything less.

so naturally i have been very busy with that (fields of mistria and moonstone island demo) and winding down from all the birthday festivities. being off from work has been so nice too, but i’m looking forward to getting loads of steps in again tbh. when retail gets rough, i just think about how nice all my clothes look on me now :)

alight, i’ve paused writing to go have a shower and change. i like to go to town earlier in the day to avoid all the crowds so i think i’ll go now, and when i get back there will be a ring waiting for me!! i was thinking about having a nice little solo day out but if i do that i will spend money and i think i’ve spent enough until christmas. even then.
